- Premature release of the wrist angles during down swing, lead wrist is cupped at impact leading to weak shots.
- Adds loft to the club leading to power loss and inconsistency in ball striking. Scooping is when club head passes hands before impact.
- Common causes are limited wrist flexibility, limited wrist ulnar deviation and a lack of forearm strength.
- As with all other upper body swing characteristics… Lower body dysfunction can be the root cause. Ability to separate upper and lower body, limited hip rotation and limited T spine mobility.
- Can cause “Golfers Elbow” with pain on outside of the elbow.
