- Excessive upper body backwards bend at top of the backswing leading to spinal compression injury and poor swing sequencing.
- Primary cause of lower back pain and injury in the golf swing.
- Upper body will dominate the downswing creating path and sequencing issues as well as a lack of power.
- Common cause is inability to separate upper and lower body, limited T Spine rotation and tight Lats.
- Other common cause is limited trail leg internal hip rotation leading to a sway and excessive side bend at top of backswing.
- Other common cause is C Spine at setup posture.
