- Lateral move away from the target in the backswing forcing the players weight to move outside the trail leg and foot.
- Can’t dig in and generate power or shift weight properly when this occurs.
- Common cause is limited trail leg internal rotation, limited thoracic rotation and tight Lats.
- Can also be due to limited strength in the glute maximus, medius and lateral leg stabilizing muscles (adductors and abductors).
