GrowMetry is a great tool to measure the actual developmental age of children from 5 years on.
It is simple to use and we offer each client and clients of The Q Athletic Performance Center a free account to track the development of your child.
All you have to do is request an account and we will email you a link to join. Once you join, enter baseline information on your child you simply measure his/ her height and weight on the first day of each month (or as close as possible), input that data and the GrowMetry system does the rest.
Within 6-12 months we will have an actual developmental age of your child.
Research has proven that the growing brain of a child lays down neural pathways as we call it to. So each growing mind is a blank slate sort of speak?
The more we call on the brain to use motor skills, speed, balance etc… the better it becomes. There are also windows of opportunity that research has proven for speed development, vestibular system development, strength development and skill development.
These windows are based on Developmental age – not Chronological age. Once children reach the ages of 10-12 the majority of brain development is complete. So we only get one chance to do this right!
