Kinematic Sequence Determines How Efficient your Golf Swing is!
Advanced Golf Performance is the Charlotte areas only provider of 6D golf swing & kinematic sequencing analysis.
What is the Kinematic Sequence in a golf swing? The Kinematic Sequence in the golf swing is the unwinding of the hips, torso, arms and club during the backswing & downswing. When performed in the correct order, a golfer will produce their most efficient & powerful golf swing.
Power in the downswing is initiated from the ground up. With proper pressure from the feet and legs into the ground you can create a stable foundation so that you can first accelerate, then rapidly decelerate sequences of the body during the downswing. When the hips decelerate the torso speeds up, when the torso decelerates the arms speed up, when the arms decelerate near impact, the club speeds up. This makes for a powerful, efficient and accurate golf swing.
Tour professionals are experts at this sequencing, and the acceleration, deceleration cycle. Regardless of the style or tempo of the swing you see on tour, most all touring professionals Kinematic Sequences are almost identical. A physical weak link in any area of your body in terms of stability, mobility or flexibility will make it difficult to change motor skill patterns. As an example in terms of rotational mobility, you may have difficulty performing a proper sequence or a correct separation and load. Likewise, for your body to accept deceleration of the various segments, it needs to have functional stability in all segments.
With 6D sensor technology, we can accurately measure & graph your entire kinematic sequence, isolating each important body segment. If we detect a weak link in the chain, we can diagnose it as a swing fault and / or a physical weakness.
